Family and Parenting-2

Traditionally a Family is defined as a group consisting of parents and children or those related by marriage or blood. Ideally, the maternal and/or paternal energies seek to prepare their children to become self sufficient, encouraging them to walk in integrity and compassion for the good of self and the whole. They give freely in service for the individual as well as humanity by teaching their children to give back, to follow their dreams and to share their abilities freely with the world. In this perfect universe, and I certainly hold the vision, we would each enter the world loved, supported and prepared.

The Family unit is our first and foremost place of learning. It sets the beginning foundation of how we view ourselves and others in the world. It teaches us of love and forgiveness. As parents we are also learning and growing from life’s lessons. It is important to be easy on ourselves, forgiving and moving forward. It is my believe that we choose our parents (teachers). Sometimes we choose hardship or personality traits that our soul would like to overcome. We may choose a parent with a special talent, for example music or medicine, that we would like to grow in this lifetime.

During the month of June we are planting 2020 foundational seeds of Service, freely sharing our gifts, talents and abilities with others and our world. As we look at the energy of service, family and parenthood rank top shelf. There is a constant energy of giving as a parent. Living in a rapid paced world our energy can be pulled in many directions. A simple meal to prepare or discussion can feel like a burden. Remember, it is the energy in which we give that dictates the energy of the return. Take time to breathe!

This week lets take a look at our family dynamics. Lets begin to shift our ideas of burden or work to giving freely of our energy and abilities.  Dare to Delegate! Release unnecessary tasks to create more quality time. Children need their parents vs 4 after school activities. Look at what you would like to change within your family dynamic or routine. What would you like to create? What values would you like to instill?

Parenthood is one of the greatest gifts we can receive. With it, comes responsibility and giving of ourselves. A Wakeful Parent is truly a Gift and Service for the Whole.

*Note, that today we are talking primarily about parenthood, but I feel there are many forms of family. A Family is a group of individuals who have a strong bond of connection, love one another, trust, grow together, forgive, support and encourage those within the group to be the best that they can be. Thank you Universe for the love and support of Family on our walk to greater spiritual wisdom.

Affirmation:

I Choose to Walk with an Open Heart, Sharing My Gifts, Talents and Abilities with My Family.
